Here, Avatar takes a little
help herself as I protect her against infection by
putting iodine on her navel at birth.
Her first attempt at
standing up was successful, then she lost her balance and
catapulted towards her Mother's udder. She latched on immediately.
Could she really be an Avatar?
I wouldn't believe it
myself if I hadn't seen it. Plus...I have it all on
videotape!

morning, Avatar takes her first venture out of the stall.

Avatar meets Alex, our 8 year
old. She is 2 days old and enjoys human interaction.

Avatar was nibbling at Mom's
hay and grain at day 2...but she waited until she was 10
days old to taste the grass.

She is
beautiful and correct. She is chocolate in color
with a chocolate mane and tail. She has white on all
4 feet.
We expect her to mature
on the larger side for a Mountain mare, at around 15.2. |
